what substances can false teeth be made out of?
Thursday, July 9th, 2009i`ve heard of (and seen) gold teeth, also i`ve heard of a police dog being fitted with a stainless steel false tooth. also i understand plastic can also be used. do you think quartz crystal could also be used? it`s the right colour, also seems hard enough and if it`s good enough for digital watches, could it be good enough for chewing food with? any other substances you can think of?
wooden teeth? never heard that one before, metal teeth, ah yes, i remember jaws from the james bond film.
George Washington’s false teeth were made of wood.
Not only do you need something strong, it cannot be brittle or crumble when subjected to saliva and repetitive chewing. I’m not sure quartz would qualify. Various ceramics work.
